JRF Position at IIT Gandhinagar

Dear students - there is one JRF position open at IIT Gandhinagar for one of the government-funded project on Computational Lithography.

Project Details:
As the semiconductor scaling continues from a technology node to another node the computational lithography modules have become critical to carry out a large amount of data and complex models for predicting the chip manufacturability. The core objective of this project is to develop the computational framework for improving the accuracy and optimizing the simulation time needed for advanced lithography processes. The student will learn conventional computational lithography flow and work toward developing and applying machine learning and optimization algorithms with a goal to 1) improve the model accuracy, 2) reduce the number of iterations, and 3) optimize the design of experiment to shorten turn-around-time in early development and yield ramp-up in Semiconductor manufacturing.

Qualification: BTech in Electronics/Computer Science with a valid GATE score or MTech in Electronics/Computer Science.

Required Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in C++ and object-oriented programming
  • Expertise in Python and UNIX Scripting
  • Experience in GUI frameworks and databases in Python
  • Experience in numerical computation and optimization/machine-learning algorithms
  • Basic knowledge of microelectronics and lithography process
  • Knowledge of source control tools (Bitbucket, Github)

Tenure: 1 year extendable till the end of the project (October 2022) on satisfactory performance.

Consolidated Monthly Pay: INR 31000
